Is Matthew Gray Gubler dead?

The article reads: ‘Matthew Gray Gubler also known as Spencer Reid in CBS television series, Criminal Minds, was found dead this afternoon in his home in Los Angeles, California with multiple stab wounds. This sparked rumours that Matthew had died, sending fans into hysterics before being informed it was a prank website. After scrolling through the article a text comes up saying “You’ve Been Pranked!”

Matthew pays tribute to Dr. Spencer Reid

  • However, a part of Matthew has passed away, and that is his on-screen character, Dr Spencer Reid.

In February this year, Matthew parted ways with his Criminal Minds character Spencer Reid. Following the series finale, Matthew – who was an original cast member, paid tribute to his character on Twitter.

Although Matthew Gray Gubler is M.I.A on social media, the news article that spread was a definite death hoax. Hopefully, Matt’s silence means he is busy working on something, and we’ll see him on the big screens shortly.
