Arsenal are set to sign Thomas Partey and his arrival could be announced in the next two weeks, according to Football Ghana.
Arsenal have been tracking Partey for much of the summer so far, but they have so far struggled to meet Atletico Madrid’s asking price for the midfielder.
Football Ghana think that a deal is edging closer to completion though, and he should be an Arsenal player before the end of the month.
That would be a huge boost to Mikel Arteta’s side, as Partey appears to have been the Arsenal boss’s top choice in midfield.
Partey, who has been labelled ‘world-class’ by his Ghanian teammate Kwei Appiah to Ghana Web, would offer Arsenal’s defence far more protection, and his physicality would help bring a new dimension to the Gunners’ game.

Arsenal have been accused of lacking steel in midfield for numerous seasons, but Partey’s arrival should solve that issue.
The Gunners have been looking into the possibility of doing a swap deal for Partey, but they are now said to have paid the full fee to meet Atleti’s asking price.
It has been reported before that Atleti were asking for £45 million for the midfielder by the Daily Express.
