Jurassic World has come to Minecraft, with a brand new DLC package that adds over 60 dinosaurs, along with vehicles, buildings, and NPCs, to the popular block building game.
According to the new DLC’s trailer, this involves not only the ability to recreate scenes from the two Jurassic World movies, but also includes locales from the original Jurassic Park. If you’ve ever wanted to drive Jeff Goldblum around while being chased by a T-Rex, this is your chance.
What’s more, Mojang has released a completey free new addition to the Character Creator: a hoodie designed to look like Blue, the famous velociraptor from Jurassic World and Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.
How to get the Minecraft Jurassic World DLC
The Minecraft Jurassic World DLC is available for an in-app purchase in the Bedrock version of Minecraft. To download it, open up the game and then navigate to the Minecraft Marketplace, where it can be purchased.
The DLC costs $7.99 or 1340 Minecraft Coins. Be warned: there are a lot of fake Minecraft-style dinosaur games available, particularly on the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store, which look very similar to this DLC.
Make sure you’re buying Jurassic World directly through the Minecraft Marketplace to avoid confusion.
What can you do in the new dinosaur DLC?
According to Mojang, the following activities are available in the new Minecraft Jurassic World DLC pack:
“Not only can you craft and train dinosaurs, build exhibits, and solve problems, but you can also go on expeditions to discover dinosaur DNA! Use vehicles and your team of NPCs to solve disasters and earn a high score!”
The DLC comes with 21 character skins and over 60 dinosaurs, so it’ll be enough to keep players busy for quite a while to come. Here’s hoping that things go more smoothly in Minecraft than in any Jurassic World movie!
