Season 1 of The Fugitive has just concluded on Quibi, but fans are already wondering if and when the Kiefer Sutherland series will return for a season 2.

There are very few stories that have been told and retold as much as The Fugitive. Thankfully, Quibi’s recent take on the classic 1963 series and 1993 film has brought a fresh perspective to the story.

The first season may have only just concluded, but fans are already curious as to whether or not The Fugitive will be making another run-for-it in season 2.

The Fugitive renewal status…

  • At the time of writing, The Fugitive has not been renewed for a second season, nor has it been officially cancelled by Quibi.

As the viewing figures for The Fugitive season 1 are not available, it is difficult to predict if Quibi is likely to renew the show for a second season or not.

The series currently sits at a 5.0/10 on IMDB, which isn’t particularly brilliant for a show like The Fugitive. However, the episodes are short enough to make renewal a financially viable option, plus the all-star cast is always a good draw for viewers.

Hopefully, we will get some more information on the future of The Fugitive in the next few weeks.

Season 2 release date…

  • As The Fugitive is yet to be officially renewed for a second season, a release date has not been revealed.

However, if the show is renewed, then based on the production cycle of season 1 we can expect a second season to premiere in April 2021.

It’s safe to say that there is no shortage of source material that the show’s producers could adapt for season 2, but there may be delays with filming associated with the global coronavirus pandemic. Therefore, a more realistic prediction would for a June 2021 release.

We will bring you updates on this page as and when new information is revealed.
