It has been reported that Birmingham in the Championship are interested in signing goalkeeper Darlow from Premier League side Newcastle.
The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Newcastle want a transfer fee for a permanent move or a loan deal with extras.
However, according to the report, Birmingham manager Aitor Karanka is struggling to find the funds to meet the Magpies’ demand.
Leaving Newcastle United
Darlow has been on the books of Newcastle since 2014, but the goalkeeper has failed to establish himself as a regular in the starting lineup.
The 29-year-old has played just over 50 games in the league for the Magpies, and it is clear that he is not going to get much playing time next season due to the presence of Martin Dubravka.
It would be best for the former Nottingham Forest goalkeeper if he leaves Newcastle and finds a new permanent home to further his career.
Meanwhile, The Sun has claimed that Fulham are ready to offer Wigan Athletic left-back Antonee Robinson £50,000 per week as salary in order to sign him ahead of West Bromwich Albion, Sheffield United, Newcastle and Everton.
