Addison Rae has quickly risen to fame through the social media app TikTok. Last week, many big TikTok stars were scared that their career may be over after Donald Trump threatened to ban TikTok in the US. And just days later, that scare became a reality for Addison Rae.

Her TikTok account was compromised for a few hours on Friday night (August 14th), leading many fans to think her account would be deleted forever.

Since joining TikTok in July 2019, Addison Rae quickly became a social media sensation.

Her TikTok account gained over 55-million followers, making her one of the most-followed people on the social media app, popular for her short lip-sync and dance videos.

TikTok can be credited for turning Addison into a real celebrity, as the 19-year-old has she’s now ventured into other things too. She’s voicing an animated film, she’s the face of American Eagle and she’s even BFF’s with Kourtney Kardashian!

But fans thought it was all over when Addison’s TikTok account appeared to be DELETED! All will be explained.

Addison’s TikTok was deleted

On August 14th, Addison Rae’s TikTok was deleted from the platform, putting many fans into a state of panic.

After just being announced by Forbes as the highest TikTok earner ever, the platform that started it all for Addison was gone in a flash.

But what actually happened to it?

Was Addison Rae banned from TikTok?

Addison Rae’s account was banned, but it wasn’t actually her posting on it. Her 55-million follow account was hacked, and then deleted for breaking TikTok’s Community Guidelines.

The hacker changed the name of her TikTok to “@joeandzak1” before posting a series of strange videos resulting in the account being banned.

In the early morning of August 15th, Addison took to Twitter, simply writing: “My tiktok is hacked :(.”

But just hours after being hacked and deleted, Addison’s account was restored with all of its original followers and views – so don’t worry, Addison’s TikTok isn’t going anywhere!
