  • Project Power was filmed on location in New Orleans.

Project Power features a host of notable landmarks throughout New Orleans with much of the movie shot outdoors.

Specific filming locations you might be able to spot in Project Power include a former apartment complex in the Lower 9th Ward, made distinctive by its graffitied exterior, as well as the Six Flags amusement park which has been abandoned since Hurrican Katrina in 2005 according to The Cinemaholic.

Filming took place in New Orleans between October 8th and December 22nd, 2018 with $80.4 million of the film’s $85.1 million budget being spent in Louisiana itself.

Other projects filmed in New Orleans

In recent years, New Orleans has surged in popularity among film and TV productions, partly due to a 40% tax credit offered by the state of Louisiana.

Project Power is available to stream now on Netflix after releasing on August 14th, 2020.
