There are some heavy hitters and outstanding technicians in MMA, but who are the top 10 best-rated strikers in the recently released UFC 4 video game?
Let’s be honest, there is no better sight in MMA than a clean knockout and everyone’s got their personal favourite KO’s.
For me, nothing will top Conor knocking out Aldo for the Featherweight title, Masvidal with the flying knee against Askren and Holm shocking the world against Ronda.
However, with memorable finishes comes legendary finishers; true stand-out athletes of the stand-up game.
The UFC 4 video game has only just released on PS4 and Xbox One, but gamers are wondering who the top 10 strikers in the game are?
UFC 4: Top 10 best strikers…
- Israel Adesanya
- Alistair Overeem
- TJ Dillashaw
- Amanda Nunes
- Valentina Shevchenko
- Anthony Johnson
- Jose Aldo
- Cody Garbrandt
- Conor McGregor
- Petr Yan
- Rated 5 Stars – Averaged 95.4/100
The best striker in UFC 4 is none other than ‘The Last Stylebender’ – no surprise there. The current Middleweight king has stand-up stats that are unrivalled in UFC 4 with outstanding accuracy, footwork, switch stance and kick speed ratings.
- Rated 5 Stars – Averaged 94.9/100
At one point in history, ‘The Reem’ was the scariest man in all of combat sports and has a record of 24 wins coming from knockout, so quite frankly this feature isn’t all that surprising either.
However, what is notable is that his average rating across the 10 stand-up factors is only beaten by Israel Adesanya, meaning his striking is extremely well rounded.
- Rated 5 Stars – Averaged 94.7/100
The former UFC Bantamweight world champion, TJ has 8 wins by KO including two over fellow striking technician Cody Garbrandt.
An incredibly well-rounded stand-up game is shown in UFC 4, with TJ holding a 99-rated ‘Switch Stance’, a figure only matched by Alistair Overeem.
- Rated 5 stars – Averaged 93.9/100
Again, another obvious feature of the top 10 list is the current UFC Woman’s Bantamweight world champion, with fantastic striking stats across the board.
Most likely the greatest female mixed martial arts fighter of all time, she holds knockout wins over Holly Holm, Ronda Rousey and Chris Cyborg.
- Rated 5 Stars – Averaged 93.5/100
The current UFC Woman’s Flyweight world champion, it is no surprise that Shevchenko is in the list of top 10 strikers. Her kickboxing is unbelievable and only getting better with each fight, just ask Jessica Eye.
- Rated 5 Stars – Averaged 93.1/100
‘Rumble’ is easily one of the most feared power punches in the history of the UFC with impressive wins over Teixeira, Bader, Gustafsson, Arlovski and Antonio Nogueira.
Whilst Johnson has a 5-star rating, he is only ranked 14th in terms of the overall striking factors, with an average score well below that of other top-5 strikers.
- Rated 5 Stars – Averaged 93/100
The future UFC Hall-of-Famer and former UFC Featherweight king, Aldo is well-known for devastating hand speed and leg kicks.
However, his average rating across the ten stand-up factors is very low, ranked 16th overall and the only 5-star fighter ranked lower in this regard than ‘Rumble’ Johnson.
- Rated 4.5 Stars – Averaged 93.9/100
‘No Love’ is the highest-ranked non-5-star fighter in UFC 4 with an impressive and well-rounded stand-up game.
The former UFC Bantamweight world champion and Flyweight contender defiantly deserves these stats, winning 10 of his 12 wins by knockout.
- Rated 4.5 Stars – Averaged 93.8/100
Again, another obvious input in the top 10 here and to be fair the only reason why ‘Notorious’ is not a 5-star fighter in UFC 4 is his lack of activity.
However, his stats in the game are still extremely impressive, with outstanding punch speed, power and accuracy ratings – making him the best striker in the Lightweight division.
- Rated 4.5 Stars – Averaged 93.7/100
The current UFC Bantamweight world champion comes in at the number 10 spot for strikers on launch.
The Russians’ boxing is second to none in the smaller divisions, but his overall ratings are excellent – making him one of the well-rounded fighters on this list.
NOTE: The scores out of 100 are from the individual stats concerning: Punch Speed, Punch Power, Accuracy, Blocking, Head Movement, Footwork, Switch Stance, Takedown Defence, Kick Power and Kick Speed.
These stats and rankings are correct at the time of launch and will be updated as and when the official ratings change.
