On August 14th, Drake released the lead single off his new album, Certified Lover Boy, as well as the accompanying music video.
The song, Laugh Now Cry Later, features Lil Durk and was released by Drake at midnight, much to the excitement of fans.
The music video features some familiar faces as we see Drake play basketball with Kevin Durant, and throw around a ball with Odell Beckham Jr.

What does Laugh Now Cry Later mean?
According to Genius Lyrics, Laugh Now Cry Later is about the high-life Drake lives and a relationship, hoping to live in the moment and deal with pain and troubles later.
Some have speculated that this line could be taking a shot at Kanye West by referring to his 2018 song, Ghost Town:
“We took a trip, now we on your block and it’s like a ghost town, baby
Where do these n***as be at when they say they doin’ all this and all that?”
The line: “Can you not play that lil’ boy in the club? ‘Cause we do not listen to rats” is most likely a reference to Tekashi 6ix9ine, who was labelled a ‘rat’ by the hip hop industry following his testimony in the case of United States vs. Nine Trey Bloods.
Here is another reference to a rapper:
“I’m like DaBaby, I’m not just a rapper, you play with me, you gon’ get stretched.”
On November 5, 2018, DaBaby fatally shot nineteen-year-old Jaylin Domonique Craig. Jaylin attempted to rob DaBaby and in self-defense, DaBaby shot him.
