Neil Lennon has held talks with Shane Duffy over a potential move to Celtic, according to the Daily Mail.
Duffy looks set to leave Brighton & Hove Albion this summer, and Celtic have now joined the list of clubs trying to sign him.
The Bhoys want to take Duffy north of the border, even though West Ham United and West Bromwich Albion are also interested.
Celtic’s deal for Duffy would be a season-long loan, with Lennon having discussed the move with the player.
Duffy is said to be ‘keen’ on the move now, and that is no surprise.
HITC reported last year how Duffy put a fingers crossed emoji on Instagram when he was asked if he’d ever play for the Bhoys over the course of his career.

His arrival at Parkhead would significantly strengthen Lennon’s side at the back.
Duffy has seen his game time at Brighton diminish since Graham Potter’s arrival, but that is largely down to the Seagulls boss’s desire to play passing football.
While Duffy may not be the most technically efficient centre-back, he has some great defensive qualities, and could fit in well with Lennon’s men.
Any deal is still said to be a long way off at this current stage, but Celtic are looking into the possibility of making it happen.
If Celtic were to buy Duffy is it claimed that he is valued at £10 million by The Daily Mirror (print edition, page 46, 4th August 2020).
