The last episode of the hit Pakistani series Ishqiya has just been released, but many fans have been left disappointed by the season 1 finale.

For viewers, Ishqiya has been an adrenaline-filled, rollercoaster of a journey that has been filled with hope, heartbreak and anguish.

The season 1 finale was meant to bring everyone together, wrapping up all the emotions and relationships we have seen tormented since episode 1.

However, it seems that the last episode of Ishqiya has left fans feeling upset, disappointed and angry.

Ishqiya: Last episode…

After everything we have been through as fans, this episode was, at the very least, different from what many of us were expecting.

Rumi confronts Hamna and Hamza about concealing past truths from her. Whilst she does understand the position her sister was in, and possibly the mental stress she has gone through, she chooses to expose Hamza’s reality to her in-laws.

The conversation then switches to talk of blackmail, revenge and manipulation – honestly, it’s all very cloak-and-dagger at this point.

However, as the finale episode has only just been released, we wouldn’t want to spoil anything that happens after this. So go watch it for yourself, then come back and see if you agree with other fans.

Audience reaction to Ishqiya last episode…

It’s safe to say that the finale for Ishqiya has left many fans feeling let down, disappointed and upset.

Although to be fair, there aren’t many shows of this size and popularity that can be concluded without meeting at least some fans’ expectations.

Will there be an Ishqiya season 2?

  • At the time of writing, it is highly unlikely that there will be a second season for Ishqiya, but that may not be a bad thing.

The show was always meant to be just the one season and it has certainly done exactly what ARY Television wanted it to, i.e. become a viral sensation.

Whilst there is always the possibility that the show will be renewed for a second season, the audience reaction to the finale definitely puts a dampener on that possibility.

Personally, I think it’s more realistic to see a spin-off show that focuses on one of the characters, or another season with a similar concept, rather than a direct continuation from season 1.

We will bring you updates if anything changes with regards to season 2 of Ishqiya, so keep checking back in.
