Marco Bizot could be heading to the Premier League with Sheffield United, Fulham and Crystal Palace all interested in the AZ Alkmaar goalkeeper, according to Sky Sports.
If there is a different face between the sticks at Bramall Lane or Selhurst Park next season, then that man in question will find himself under serious pressure.
Dean Henderson and Vicente Guaita can certainly lay claim to be the finest goalkeepers to represent Sheffield United and Crystal Palace in the Premier League era.
But with the former only on loan from Manchester United and the latter linked with a return to Spain, Sky suggests that the top-flight duo are both in the market for a replacement.
And Bizot would certainly arrive amid plenty of scrutiny.
The 6ft 4ins Dutchman is far from a household name in England after all, but the level of interest speaks volumes about his cat-like reflexes and commanding, penalty-box presence.

Sky claims that, alongside Sheffield United and Crystal Palace, Bizot is a target for Fulham, Sevilla and Valencia.
Atletico Madrid have also identified him as a potential successor for Jan Oblak, perhaps the finest goalkeeper on planet earth right now.
Bizot, at 29, is in the form of his life right now and his status as a man in high demand should be no surprise to any Eredivisie fan boys.
The former Ajax youngster kept 11 clean sheets in 24 games as AZ Alkmaar struck the fear of god into the reigning Dutch champions last season.
When the Eredivisie title was concluded in April, AZ were level on points with Ajax at the top of the table.
Speaking to AZ’s YouTube page in July, however, coach Arne Slot admitted he was confident of keeping an exciting, improving squad together with Champions League qualification a real temptation.
“I think it is realistic to think we can keep them,” says one of Europe’s up-and-coming coaches.
“Contrary to what I sometimes read, I often hear from these guys that they are very happy with us and think that we have a strong team that can perform well next season.”
