Leeds United are interested in signing Nicolae Stanciu from Slavia Prague in the summer transfer window, according to The Daily Mail.

It has been reported that Leeds – who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship – have asked about Stanciu.

The report has claimed that the 27-year-old Romania international – who can operate as an attacking midfielder or as a winger – is available for £7 million.

Need for a creative player

Pablo Hernandez is the creator-in-chief at Leeds, and the Spaniard will be a big player for the Whites next season.

However, the former Swansea City and Valencia star is not getting any younger, and the West Yorkshire outfit do need to find someone young(er) who can compete with him and replace him in the team if need be.

Stanciu is a very good player who has a lot of experience, and has also played in the Champions League and the Europa League.

For the reported transfer fee of £7 million, the Romania international would not be a bad signing for Leeds this summer.

Kamil Miazek loan exit

Meanwhile, Huddersfield Town are interested in signing Kamil Miazek from Leeds in the summer transfer window, according to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 60, August 9, 2020).

It has been reported that Huddersfield head coach Carlos Corberan wants to sign the 23-year-old goalkeeper he worked with when he was in charge of the Leeds Under-23 side.
