Leeds United fans definitely do not want Ben White to be joining Chelsea this summer.

The Daily Star suggest Chelsea are ready to rival Leeds for £40 million-rated White’s signature, as the two clubs battle to sign him from Brighton & Hove Albion.

Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is not particularly popular at Elland Road, through his time as Derby County boss.

And Leeds fans are hoping that White, who has made himself a real hero at Elland Road over the past season, does not end up joining forces with Lampard.

Leeds had White on loan over the past campaign, and his performances were a major reason behind why the Whites were able to earn promotion.

The 22-year-old was so steady at the back, and his ball playing ability seriously caught the eye.

Leeds have been unable to agree a fee for White so far though, with Brighton seemingly determined to keep hold of the centre-back.

If Leeds are able to bring in White this summer it would be a major boost for them, as he would surely reclaim his place in their starting line-up straight away.
