Liverpool target Aissa Mandi has appointed a new agent, according to Sevilla ABC.
Some reports suggested that Liverpool were close to completing a deal for Mandi over the weekend, with the Mirror claiming the two clubs were just £1.8 million away from an agreement.
However, Sevilla ABC insists that no bid from Liverpool has yet been made for the £12.5 million-rated defender.
That does not mean that a transfer to Anfield won’t happen though, as Mandi apparently has one eye on the exit door.
Mandi has just a year left on his contract, and although Betis want to keep him, he has now appointed a new agent for the negotiations.
It is claimed that the central defender is now looking at the market, to assess what options he has.
If he was to join Liverpool then he could well be lined up as a replacement for Dejan Lovren.
Lovren left Merseyside this summer to join Zenit St. Petersburg, and it could be that Klopp wants to sign another central defender this summer to ensure that he is not left short of options at the back next term.
