West Bromwich Albion are willing to pay £12 million to sign Adem Ljajic and Domagoj Vida from Besiktas, according to claims from Fanatik.

While the Baggies have secured their place back in the elite after two seasons up against the Barnsleys, the Bristols and the Blackburns of the world, the challenge is only just beginning.

With the transfer window now open, technical director Luke Dowling is now under serious pressure to find replacements for West Brom’s wing wonders.

Grady Diangana and Callum Robinson have since returned to West Ham and Sheffield United and, given that both players had been in outstanding form since arriving in The Hawthorns, Dowling certainly has his work cut out.

According to reports in Turkey, West Brom are planning to swap exuberance for experience with Ljajic lined up as a much-needed attacking addition.

A former Manchester United and Roma winger, who was once described as ‘different class’ by Radja Nainggolan, Ljajic produced an impressive 14 goals and assists in 2019/20.

Fanatik claims that West Brom are also interested in signing Ljajic’s Super Lig teammate Domagoj Vida.

The battle-scarred centre-half, one of Besiktas’s highest-earners on £60,000-a-week, was handed his debut for the Croatian national team by West Brom boss Bilic a decade ago.

West Brom will apparently pay £5 million to add Vida to their often erratic backline.
