Rangers want to sign Ozcan from FC Koln in the summer transfer window, it has been reported.
West Brom – who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship this campaign – are also claimed to be interested in the 22-year-old, and so are Huddersfield Town.
The midfielder spent the 2019-20 season on loan at Holstein Kiel and is now back at his parent club Koln, and that is where he wants to stay despite interest from Rangers, West Brom and Huddersfield, according to the report.
Sensible plan?
Rangers are a massive club and have a huge support, and this season the Gers are determined to make sure that their bitter Old Firm rivals Celtic do not win the Scottish Premiership title.
However, Ozcan is only 22 years of age, and the midfielder is still developing and progressing as a footballer.
It would make sense for the German to stay at Koln, establish himself in the starting lineup this season and then take it from there regarding his future.
