According to The Mail on Sunday (print edition, page 151, August 2, 2020), Tottenham Hotspur are open to letting Danny Rose leave for free this summer amid interest from Leeds United.

Rose is back at Tottenham after a loan spell at Premier League rivals Newcastle United during the second half of this past season.

The Daily Star has claimed that Leeds are interested in signing the England international left-back from Spurs.

The 30-year-old left-back was at Elland Road as a youth player before making the switch to North London outfit Tottenham in 2007.

The Mail on Sunday (print edition, page 151, August 2, 2020) has claimed that Tottenham are open to letting the Englishman leave for free, with his current contract running out in 2021.

The report has added that Leeds, who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship, want to sign Rose, described as “a quality player and a class act” by Newcastle manager Steve Bruce in The Daily Mail in January 2020.

Back to Leeds United?

Rose may not have been at his best for a while, but he has a wealth of experience which will come handy for Leeds.

The Whites have Ezgjan Alioski, Stuart Dallas and Barry Douglas for the left-back position, and until and unless one of them leaves, it is hard to see the club bring in Rose.
