John Terry expressed his anger on his Instagram story as Arsenal lifted the FA Cup by beating Chelsea 2-1 at Wembley on Saturday.

The former centre-back stated that Mateo Kovacic’s sending off was ‘never’ a second yellow and he also thinks Andreas Christensen was fouled in the build-up to Arsenal’s second goal – his message was accompanied with an angry emoji.

There were a number of controversial decisions during the game, which would have annoyed both sets of fans, but Mikel Arteta’s side deserved the win in the end.

Terry is well aware of what it takes to win an FA Cup final, but the now-Aston Villa backroom coach wasn’t pleased with what he was seeing at Wembley.

“Never a second yellow,” Terry posted on his IG story. “And surely that was a foul on Christensen on the build to the goal.”

It could be argued that going into yesterday’s match, Chelsea were the favourites given their performances in the Premier League, that win in Baku last season and that they were on a high after securing Champions League football.

But the Gunners themselves had beaten Manchester City to get to the final, as Arteta’s men produced a defensive masterclass during that match. It was just a simple case of what Arsenal was going to show up.

Well, it’s quite clear that the Arsenal that has been utterly dominant in the FA Cup for many years turned up to claim yet another domestic trophy.
