Liverpool reportedly look set to miss out on Jeremy Ngakia to Watford in the summer transfer window.

ReadLiverpool reported in June 2020 of interest from Liverpool in Ngakia, who left West Ham United this summer.

The report claimed that the Reds, who won the Premier League title this past season, have spoken to the representatives of the 19-year-old right-back.

However, it now seems that the Premier League champions have missed out on the teenager.

According to The Guardian, the right-back is joining Watford, who will play in the Championhip next season after getting relegated from the Premier League.

Good decision from Jeremy Ngakia?

Liverpool are a massive club and are a global brand, but playing opportunities at Anfield would have been limited for Ngakia.

The right-back made a handful of appearances for the West Ham first team, and he can only improve and develop if he plays in a competitive environment.

With Watford having been relegated to the Championship, the Hornets could sell some of their best players, and that could give Ngakia a chance to turn out regularly for the first team.
