Ever since shooting to fame in One Direction Zayn Malik has had an army of devoted fans – but now they’re questioning his real eye colour.

There’s not much about the former 1D boys which isn’t known at this point, but every now and again their posts suggest something has changed.

And on Friday fans were confused as Zayn returned to Instagram sporting a different shade of eye colour to what they’re used too.

What is Zayn Malik’s real eye colour?

  • Zayne Malik has brown eyes.

However in his Instagram post on Friday they looked a lot lighter than usual and more of a green shade.

The singer was seen wearing what appeared to be eyeliner and looking up towards one corner of his camera with his teary-eyes shining in the frame.

Zayn’s post caused even more of a stir as it was his first since June 2 and his first selfie since January.

Has his eye colour been in dispute before?

Yes! Back in April 2018 avid One Directioners were confused over Zayn’s eye colour when he shared another now deleted Instagram snap.

In the bold picture his eyes were a bright green and he sported blonde hair after using a filter on his face.

Despite this, his posts after seemed to return to normal with him showing off his natural brown eyes and opting for more black and white filters.

What else has Zayn been up too recently?

Zayn hadn’t posted on Instagram for almost two months before causing a stir about his real eye colour.

But he’s certainly been busy and is now preparing to welcome his first child with model Gigi Hadid.

The couple have been together one and off since 2015 and confirmed they were expecting in April.

Gigi told the Tonight Show: “Obviously we wish we could have announced it on our own terms, but we’re very excited and happy and grateful for everyone’s well wishes and support.”
