Tottenham Hotspur fans have suggested that they shouldn’t swap Erik Lamela for Ivan Perisic.
Calcio Mercato have claimed that Tottenham are considering offloading Lamela, if they can get Perisic back off Inter Milan in return.
Lamela has only played a rotational role under Jose Mourinho so far.
However, Spurs fans feel that Perisic wouldn’t be much of an upgrade, and they would be worse off from doing the deal.
Perisic has actually previously been a huge danger, but at the age of 31, he is reaching the twilight of his career now.
Lamela, meanwhile, has proven to be a useful option off the bench for Tottenham this season.
The Argentine’s energy can often be valuable in the latter stages of matches.
Lamela has contributed with four goals and six assists in his 35 appearances for Tottenham this campaign.
