According to West London Sport, Crystal Palace are mulling over making a move for Queens Park Rangers winger Bright Osayi-Samuel after a rival bid was accepted.
The QPR youngster is seemingly set to leave the west London club this summer.
Osayi-Samuel’s contract with the Hoops expires next summer. The 22-year-old has reportedly turned down an new long-term extension, prompting the club to look at a sale.
West London Sport claim Club Brugge have had a £4.7 million offer accepted.
But Osayi-Samuel is holding out for a move to the Premier League and London rivals Crystal Palace could make their own move in the coming days.
The Eagles must look at strengthening this summer after a poor end to the season.
Roy Hodgson’s side comfortably finished ahead of the drop zone. However, with just one point from their last eight games, improvements must be made.
Palace simply don’t score enough goals. While it’s easy to point to a lack of a top striker, there needs to be more creativity with an overreliance on Wilfried Zaha.
Osayi-Samuel has plenty of talent. The winger posted five goals and eight assists in 34 Championship starts this season, rivalling Ebere Eze as the club’s most productive player.
Mark Warburton will have a big void to fill should the QPR duo leave this summer.
Palace, meanwhile, will see the likes of Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion spending money this summer therefore they can’t afford to be passive in the market.
