Roy Hodgson has suggested to BBC Sport that Newcastle United target Wilfried Zaha has been playing poorly as he wants to leave.
The Daily Mail claim that Newcastle are interested in Zaha, ahead of the summer transfer window.
Newcastle would need their takeover to go through, if they are to land the Crystal Palace winger.
But Hodgson has now confirmed that the 27-year-old does want to move on in the summer.
“It’s obviously affected him because his form in the last few weeks has really been quite poor considering what he is capable of doing,” Hodgson said.
“It’s a dilemma for the club and a dilemma for him if he is so set on leaving. If he feels he just does not want to be with us any more, that would be sad.
“We still like him very much; we can’t make him like us. This is a situation that only he and the club can sort out. I don’t have an answer.”

Zaha has been linked with a move away from Palace for a number of years now, but whether his rather underwhelming season will put elite level suitors off remains to be seen.
The Ivory Coast international has scored just four times this season, which represents a poor return for a player of his quality.
That being said, Zaha would surely be a hugely exciting addition to Newcastle’s squad.
If the Magpies could partner him with Allan Saint-Maximin in the wide areas, then Newcastle would have one of the most dangerous wing pairings in the league, with both players among the Premier League’s most fearsome dribblers.
