Ralph Hasenhuttl has warned Tottenham Hotspur and Everton that Pierre Emile Hojbjerg will not leave Southampton unless their asking price is met, as per his comments to Sky Sports.
Tottenham and Everton are both keen on landing the Saints midfield enforcer, with TalkSPORT claiming that his departure could be imminent.
But Hasenhuttl insists that Southampton won’t be letting Hojbjerg leave on the cheap.
“He has one more year on his contract, for me one more year means a lot in football,” Hasenhuttl said.
“If there is no club that pays us what we want for him, then he will stay with us for another year, no problem.”
Tottenham and Everton appear to have made signing Hojbjerg one of their top priorities, going into the summer transfer window.
The Danish midfielder is said to favour a move to Tottenham by the London Evening Standard, but Daniel Levy is always a tough negotiator.

Whether Spurs will now be able to meet Southampton’s asking price remains to be seen.
If Hojbjerg was to move to Spurs it is anticipated that he could partner the likes of Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso in midfield, as his discipline would allow them more licence to break forward.
At Everton Hojbjerg would also be an important player, as Carlo Ancelotti’s side have really lacked quality in the centre of the pitch at times this season.
