According to The Sun on Sunday (print edition, page 63, July 26, 2020), Leeds United are interested in signing Axel Tuanzebe from Manchester United.

It has been reported by the British tabloid that Leeds could turn their attention to Tuanzebe if they are unable to keep Ben White at Elland Road beyond the summer.

White spent the 2019-20 campaign on loan at the Whites from Brighton and Hove Albion and is scheduled to return to his parent club.

The Seagulls are reportedly not willing to send the young defender back to Leeds, as they anticipate Marcelo Bielsa’s side to be fighting relegation alongside them in the Premier League next season.

This has reportedly led Leeds to have a look at 22-year-old United defender Axel Tuanzebe, who described the Whites as “a big club” in The Birmingham Mail back in December 2018 when he was on loan at Aston Villa (then in the Championship).

According to WhoScored, Tuanzebe has made two starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for United this season.

The 22-year-old central defender has also played thrice in the Europa League and twice in the EFL Cup for the Red Devils this campaign, according to WhoScored.
