Arsenal and Manchester City are interested in signing David Raya from Brentford in the summer transfer window, according to 90min.

It has been reported that Mikel Arteta’s goalkeeping coach Inaki Cana Pavon has spoken highly of Raya and has recommended him to the Spaniard should the Gunners decide to bring in a new goalkeeper this summer.

The report has also claimed that City are considering making a move for the 24-year-old goalkeeper, with manager Pep Guardiola looking to bring in a replacement for Claudio Bravo, who will leave the Premier League giants at the end of the season.

Brentford, who have finished in the Championship playoffs this season, could sell Raya for a transfer fee of £10 million, according to the report.

Need for a new goalkeeper?

While City will need to sign a new goalkeeper if Bravo leaves this summer, Arsenal do not actually need to buy a player for that position.

Bernd Leno is the clear first-choice goalkeeper for the Gunners, and Emiliano Martinez has done well in his absence and has proved himself to be an able deputy.
