Angus Gunn is an option for Leeds United with the £13 million goalkeeper keen to leave Southampton this summer, according to The Mail.
The former Norwich City shot-stopper must know exactly how George Long feels.
While the much-maligned Hull City glovesman was taken out of the limelight, and the starting XI, after Hull City’s 8-0 thumping at the hand of Wigan Athletic, exactly the same fate befell Gunn in October 2019.
In fact, the one-time Manchester City youngster has not made a single Premier League appearance since that historic 9-0 collapse at home to a rampant Jamie Vardy.
And, after spending the last 27 matchdays stuck on the sidelines, it seems that Gunn has come to the conclusion that he needs a fresh start and a new club in order to rebuild his reputation away from St Mary’s.
The Sun (21 June, page 59) reported that Gunn would listen to offers with a loan move in his sights.

But could his prayers be answered by a newly-promoted Leeds side who have been watching him since the pre-Bielsa days in 2018 (YEP)?
The Mail reports that Gunn has been considered by the Championship champions, who are on the lookout for a man capable of potentially replacing Kiko Casilla while battling Ilan Meslier for a starting berth at Elland Road.
Interestingly, the Mail backs up claims that Leeds are also eyeing Lucas Martinez Quarta, Said Benrahma, Joe Gelhardt and Norwich City playmaker Emi Buendia.
