Kanye West has allegedly tweeted “Kylie stinks” amidst his intriguing Twitter rant. It hasn’t taken long for the memes to surface.
Whether you’re a fan of his music or not, we’re sure you all have firm opinions on Kanye West.
The 43-year-old musician soared into the mainstream back in 2004 with the release of his debut studio album, The College Dropout.
He has remained in the public eye ever since. However, many fans have established the difference between “new and old Kanye”. Some argue that throughout the 2010s he grew to be defined more by his activity, controversial comments and celebrity, rather than his music.
This is an opinion which continues to gain prevalence in the new decade…
Kanye West’s recent Twitter rant
In a string of tweets posted from Tuesday, July 21st 2020, Kanye West cited a range of names, calling out the likes of Kim Kardashinan, Drake and Shia LaBeouf.
Sohh grouped many of the tweets together, reporting that he posted such eyebrow-raising tweets as:
- “Everybody knows the movie Get Out is about me”
- “Kim tried to bring a doctor to lock me up with a doctor”
- “West children will never do playboy west”
- “NBC locked up Bill Cosby”
Fans have been particularly attentive to his Twitter feed ever since. However, People reports that Kim has since issued a statement on her husband’s behaviour, encouraging people to be understanding during a clearly difficult time:
“As many of you know, Kanye has bi-polar disorder. Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand. I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye’s right to privacy when it comes to his health. But today, I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health.”
However, some can’t help but notice how strange the tweets are…
Kanye West: “Kylie stinks” tweet
Kanye allegedly posted a tweet [see below] which simply read “Kylie stinks”, which according to the screenshot amassed over 5,000 retweets at the time it was screen-captured.
Some fans have expressed uncertainty as to whether he posted it or not but it appears many saw it when posted and couldn’t help but laugh about it.
Although it simply refers to “Kylie” with no other names, it’s wise to assume that the tweet is referring to Kylie Jenner.
A number of people have reacted so far.
One recently tweeted: “I can’t believe Kanye said Kylie stinks I’m still laughing” while another wrote: “When Kanye said Kylie stinks, was he talking about her attitude or body odour? That tweet has been running around my head all day…” Perhaps he’ll elaborate.
The memes are here!
Inevitably, people have seen the tweet and taken the opportunity to get creative and make some memes.
