Kanye West revealed a lot but the North West Playboy tweets stand out in particular. Let’s look into what he tweeted and what it means.

Back in the late 2000s, what did you think of when you thought of Kanye West?

The musician rose to massive acclaim with the release of his 2004 debut studio album The College Dropout and continued to innovate and impress with such subsequent releases as Late Registration, Graduation and 808s and Heartbreak.

In the 2010s, he began to experiment much more, becoming one of the most groundbreaking artists of his generation with such records as Yeezus.

However, by the end of the decade, many grew to associate Kanye more with his public persona, ego and controversial comments than his musical output.

Some argued that he had become more of a celebrity than an artist. Now, he’s raising eyebrows yet again.

Kanye unleashes striking Twitter rant

On Tuesday, July 21st 2020, Kanye West fired out a series of tweets in which he spoke about family drama and beyond.

Although the tweets have since been deleted, you can read them all below, grouped together by Sohh:

“Kriss don’t play with me you and that calmye are not allowed around my children Ya’ll tried to lock me up … Everybody knows the movie get out is about me … I put my life on the line for my children that North’s mother would never sell her sex rape … I put my life on my God that Norths mom would never photograph her doing playboy and that’s on God I’m at the ranch … come and get me … Drake … Come and get me … this is the exodus like Pusha said … On God … Shia is cap … Kim tried to bring a doctor to lock me up with a doctor … If I get locked up like Mandela Y’all will know why…”

There’s a lot to digest but the rant continued:

“Shia was deposed to do the first YZY GAP shoot and he never showed up … Anna Wintour always showed me love but when I told her I was going to GAP she looked at me like I was crazy Then she called back kissing my a** … Kriss and Kim call me now … West children will never do playboy west … Righteous indignation … I love my wife My family must live next to me It’s not up to E or NBC anymore … NBC locked up Bill Cony … NBC locked up Bill Cosby … Kim was trying to fly to Wyoming with a doctor to lock me up like on the movie Get Out because I cried about saving my daughters life yesterday.”

North West Playboy tweets

Of all the tweets, many have focused in on the ones involving his seven-year-old daughter North West:

  • “I put my life on the line for my children that North’s mother would never sell her sex rape … I put my life on my God that Norths mom would never photograph her doing playboy and that’s on God I’m at the ranch…:
  • “West children will never do playboy west…”

Essentially, the Playboy tweets come across as a dig aimed towards his wife, Kim Kardashian West, who appeared on the cover of Playboy back in December 2007.

It’s clear from his tweets that he simply doesn’t wish for his children to pursue such avenues in their distant future.

As reported by the Mirror, Kim is allegedly “furious” with Kanye for comments he made prior to the tweets while at a presidential campaign rally in South Carolina on Sunday, July 19th 2020. Kanye claimed that she wanted an abortion when pregnant with North.
