We’re ready to be whisked away but where was Cursed filmed? Filming locations are excellent for this latest Netflix fantasy gem.

It’s been a very tough year so far and we’ve grown to value TV even more.

Our lives have changed drastically and many of us have been faced with much more free time on their hands. However, what we’re able to do with it has been rather limited, to say the least.

That’s where the likes of Netflix has swept in to save the day!

The streaming service has unveiled lots of great content over recent months, from Tiger King to Unsolved Mysteries.

Now, they’re offering us the chance to retreat into fantasy with one of the year’s most appealing shows yet.

This exhilarating fantasy series is based on Frank Miller and Tom Wheeler’s novel of the same name and hit Netflix on Friday, July 17th 2020.

It centres on Nimue (played by Katherine Langford), a young woman destined to become the Lady of the Lake. Tackling Arthurian legend, this unique take sees her form an alliance with Arthur and they set out in search of Merlin.

Their quest involves them overcoming the forces of King Uther and the Red Paladins, but in the process, Nimue rises to become a beacon of resistance.

Where was Cursed filmed? Netflix filming locations

Cursed was filmed at a number of locations across Britain, including London and Langley Film Studios in Slough, Berkshire.

This comes from the Express and considering the series takes a fresh perspective on Arthurian legend, it’s hardly surprising to hear that the crew flocked to England to film.

They filmed on location too in a number of instances which stick out across the series.

The source also includes that the team constructed a medieval village in Deepcut, a village in the Borough of Surrey Heath in Surrey. This site features heavily throughout the series and filming took place there in 2019 between March and October; on the whole, filming took place between January and November.

Holywell Bay Beach, Cornwall has also been cited. Interestingly, Holywell Bay was used as a filming location for the 2002 Bond movie Die Another Day.

Additionally, Poldark fans will be familiar with the landscape as a recurring location from the series.
