Arsenal have made an attempt to find out Ryan Fraser’s demands as they consider offering a contract to the former Bournemouth winger, according to BleacherReport.
It is almost three weeks since the speedy Scotland international departed the Vitality Stadium under a cloud.
Fraser left a bitter taste in the mouth of Bournemouth fans everywhere when he opted against signing a short-term contract until the end of the season, leaving a relegation-threatened side battling against the drop without arguably their most creative talent.
But if the 26-year-old was hoping that the offers would come rolling in straight away, it seems that he has been left disappointed.
Everton, Newcastle, Watford and more have all been linked but, thus far, the ex-Aberdeen starlet does not appear to be any closer to finding his next club.
At least Arsenal have been in touch, according to BleacherReport.
The report claims that the Gunners are interested in finding out what Fraser’s demands would be, as they weigh up whether or not to sign a 5ft 4ins pocket rocket who struggled in 2019/20 to match his incredible record from the season before.
The Times claimed a month ago that Fraser was hoping for a £100,000-a-week contract at his next club, although it remains to be seen whether he will have to lower those demands to join a cash-strapped Arsenal side who will be hit hard if they fail to secure European qualification.
Only six players in Mikel Arteta’s squad currently earn more than £100,000-a-week.
