Into the Dark season 2 has been airing on Hulu since last October but when will episode 11 arrive and what will the August 2020 episode be about?

Since the late 2000s, Blumhouse Productions have been leading the way in the horror genre in the world of film but until recently had failed to make a scary splash on our TV screens.

That was until 2018 when the Into the Dark anthology TV series arrived.

The Hulu original is now on its second season and with July 17th, 2020 now upon us, a new episode of the series is heading our way, The Current Occupant.

But once fans have enjoyed all the thrills of this latest tale, when will the next episode in season 2 be arriving on Hulu and what is episode 11 likely to be about?

Into the Dark season 2 on Hulu

Season 2 of Into the Dark began way back in October 2019.

Like season 1, the new instalment contains a total of 12 episodes, one for each month of the year with each episode being based around a holiday or notable day that occurs during each month.

July 2020’s episode, The Current Occupant, is centred around Independence Day and has a presidential theme.

The Current Occupant tells the story of Henry Cameron, a patient in a psychiatric facility with no recollection of his life. However, as the episode proceeds, Cameron begins to uncover more about the truth and learns that he may or may not be the President of the United States.

When will Into the Dark episode 11 arrive on Hulu?

  • Episode 11 of Into the Dark season 2 will arrive in August 2020.

However, at the time of writing, the exact release date and plot of the upcoming episode have not yet been revealed.

In 2019’s first season, the August episode took on a back-to-school feel as a group of teenage misfits learned the truth behind the legends that haunt their school.

But will season 2 take on a different theme in 2020?

Which holidays occur in August?

August is quite a quiet month in terms of national holidays in the US.

A number of individual states celebrate certain days throughout the month but the most likely area of focus for episode 11 will probably be one of the observed days that take place in August.

There are four notable days to pick from in August and they are:

  • Coast Guard Day| August 4th
  • National Aviation Day | August 19th
  • Senior Citizen’s Day | August 21st
  • Women’s Equality Day | August 26th

Each of the four events could easily play host to a horrifying story for an Into the Dark episode.

There’s the potential to recreate Jaws on Coast Guard Day while National Aviation Day would make for a great aeroplane-based episode.

Senior Citizen’s Day and Women’s Equality Day both could work, with a spree of care home murders perhaps or may a horrifying incident could interrupt a protest march for the latter.

The possibilties are limitless.

We’ll likely find out more details about Into the Dark episode 11 in the next few weeks but until then, The Currant Occupant is available to stream on Hulu from July 17th.
