Eintracht Frankfurt could be forced to sell Evan Ndicka for just £12 million this summer, with Arsenal and Liverpool interested in the talented centre-half, according to BILD.
While the 20-year-old Frenchman did not quite live up to expectations during a difficult second season with the Eagles, a slight drop in standards could actually benefit his suitors – and there is no shortage of those.
The numbers, however, do not do the Paris-born powerhouse many favours. Frankfurt conceded 60 goals in just 34 games with their defensive instability costing them a place in the Europa League.
Ndicka, meanwhile, found himself stuck on the bench more often than he would have liked, paying the price for some error-strewn displays.
Though absolutely no one will be writing off a fresh-faced centre-half on the back of a few blips.
Sky claimed in March that Liverpool and Arsenal have been watching the France U21 international closely, while Ndicka was also linked with Southampton and Tottenham by the same publication a few weeks later.
Even if 2019/20 was far from a stellar season for Ndicka or Frankfurt as a whole, a reduced price-tag could make the Bundesliga youngster one of the most coveted defenders on the market.
After all, it is not often you can sign a defensive talent of this ilk for £68 million less than Manchester United paid for Harry Maguire.
