According to GiveMeSport, Marcus Edwards would prefer joining Arsenal to returning to Tottenham Hotspur.

A Bola has reported that Tottenham are interested in signing the 21-year-old, who can operate as a winger or as a midfielder, from Vitoria de Guimaraes in the summer transfer window.

Manchester United have also been credited with interest in the player Spurs let go in the summer of 2019.

However, GiveMeSport has claimed that Tottenham know that they would find it tough to convince the 21-year-old to return to Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The report has further claimed that Edwards, who came through the academy at Spurs but failed to establish himself in the first team, would much prefer a move to Arsenal, as he does not feel that he was given enough chances to show that he can play for the first team at Tottenham.

Unlikely summer transfer

It is hard to see Arsenal make a move for Edwards in the summer transfer window, as he is a former Spurs player and the Gunners do not actually need another young attack-minded player right now.

As for going back to Spurs, from GiveMeSport’s report, it seems that the winger does not want to return to the North London outfit.
