Former West Bromwich Albion striker Kevin Campbell predicted on Sky Sports News (10:37am, July 14, 2020) that Leeds United will clinch automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Campbell added that if West Brom are able to get the better of Fulham on Tuesday evening, then they should win automatic promotion from the Championship.

Leeds are at the top of the Championship table at the moment with 84 points from 43 matches, three points clear of second-placed West Brom.

The Baggies, who are three points ahead of Brentford in third, will take on Fulham at The Hawthorns in the league this evening.

Fulham currently find themselves fourth in the standings with 76 points from 43 matches.

Campbell said on Sky Sports News (10:37am, July 14, 2020): “I think Leeds are going straight up.

“I think the key to West Brom is tonight, the Fulham game. If they could beat Fulham, then I think they are virtually there.”

Almost there

Leeds have not featured in the Premier League since 2004, but it seems that it is only a matter of time before the West Yorkshire outfit are back in the top flight of English football.

Given the Whites’ form after the lockdown and the way they have played all season, it is hard to see Marcelo Bielsa’s side suffer a late collapse.
