Former Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale is again making headlines for negative reasons.

The 30-year-old was left on the bench on Friday as Real Madrid beat Alaves 2-0.

And Bale, who joined the Spanish giants from Tottenham back in 2013, was seen looking a bit too relaxed in the dugout at one point.

Television cameras caught the Spurs legend lounged back in his seat, with his feet up and wearing his mouth mask over his eyes.

If we’re honest, it looks like he was fully asleep and although that’s very unlikely to be the case, it does illustrate that Bale really isn’t all that interested in Real anymore.

If his regular golf outings didn’t indicate his apathy toward los Blancos, those images on the bench definitely did.

And here’s how Tottenham fans reacted on Twitter:

Coming back from this is going to be difficult.

Real fans wield so much influence at the Bernabeu that it’ll be ever so hard for him to play again without his every touch being booed.

And although that has happened to Bale before, it’ll be far more intense the next time.
