Rangers fans on Twitter are begging Alfredo Morelos to stay at Ibrox.
Morelos scored the winning goal from the penalty spot on Friday as Steven Gerrard’s side beat Hamilton 2-1 in a pre-season bounce game at Auchenhowie.
The Colombian hitman hasn’t been seen all that often in recent weeks and wasn’t included in the kit launch earlier this month.
That prompted speculation about his future at Rangers, having earlier been linked with a move to Rennes in Ligue 1.
The 23-year-old reacted on Twitter after his goal yesterday, posting two emojis – one of a buffalo, in reference to his nickname, and another of a ball.
And here’s how Rangers fans responded to his tweet on social media:
If we’re honest, Gerrard has little chance of stopping Celtic from winning 10-in-a-row if Morelos leaves.
The South American scored 29 times in all competitions last season – and astonishingly, 28 of them were scored in the first half of the campaign.
He’s such an important player for Rangers and the Gers might be selling their chances to stop the Hoops if they offload him.
