Former Aston Villa assistant manager Roy Keane was a pundit in the Sky Sports studio as the Midlanders were swept aside 3-0 by another of his old clubs, Manchester United, last night.

Keane doesn’t hold back in his criticism of players and he tore into Tyrone Mings for his role in Mason Greenwood’s goal; United’s second, which all but killed the game.

Keane didn’t understand why Mings didn’t get closer to the teenage forward and wondered what John Terry’s role in the dressing room is if the legendary defender can’t pass that on to the current crop.

Plenty of Villa fans took to Twitter in the aftermath of the match in reaction to Keane’s words and it’s fair to say they largely agreed with him.

One supporter even found themselves wanting Keane back at the club, which seems very unlikely any time soon.
