After weeks of rumours, speculation and irritation, it seems we finally know when The Seven Deadly Sins season 4 will release on Netflix.
Let’s be honest, most of us who watch anime are used to false rumours about release dates, delays and cancellations, but it still frustrates the heck out of me.
Season 4 of Netflix’s hit anime, The Seven Deadly Sins, was expected to premiere in early-July, but the show was removed from official posters with no announcement as to why.
However, new information has emerged which suggests the show will be released in early-August.
Season 4 release date…
New information indicates that the release date for The Seven Deadly Sins season 4 is now August 6th 2020.
The Whats-On-Netflix website had previously had the anime as TBA, which still is on some listings for the upcoming season, but we think that this is pretty solid release date.
The Seven Deadly Sins was previously removed from July posters…
Netflix caused some serious confusion within the anime community last week when they removed The Seven Deadly Sins from their promotional posters for July.
Whilst incredibly irritating, many fans thought that this was due to a delay of the English audio, an issue prevalent across other recently produced Netflix original anime.
Fake news for a July 4 release date…
False rumours about an official release date being set for the 4th of July had circulated on the internet for a few days last month. However, none of the claiming articles had any actual links to credible sources.
We believe that this rumour was primarily driven by the sharing of old tweets concerning the upcoming American July 4th celebration being a representation of ‘Pride’ – part of the *religious* ‘seven deadly sins’.
The 4th of July then slowly became associated with The Seven Deadly Sins anime series and subsequently, people started to believe that this was the release date for season 4.
We will update this page with more information as soon as it is announced from official sources, so keep checking back in.
