Steve Bruce has already told Newcastle United’s board that he wants to sign Danny Rose, according to the Northern Echo.
Rose has joined Newcastle on loan from Tottenham Hotspur and he has impressed at St. James’ Park so far.
Rose has become Newcastle’s first choice at left-back, and it seems that the Magpies will look to do a permanent deal in the summer.
Bruce has apparently spoken to Newcastle’s board about landing Rose, as he makes plans of the summer.
It is not yet clear how much money Bruce will be backed to spend in the summer, if he remains in charge.
With Newcastle’s new owners still waiting for approval over their takeover bid, Bruce faces an anxious wait over whether he will be given the green-light to land Rose.
Tottenham are unlikely to stand in Rose’s way if Newcastle make a bid, but whether Mike Ashley will fund transfers with so much uncertainty around his future remains to be seen.
Rose has played 10 times for Newcastle so far, and the Daily Star claim that Bruce now wants him to be the Magpies’s first signing of the summer.
Bruce has always been a fan of Rose, calling him ‘quality’ in the Daily Mail, before he even arrived – and it seems that his opinion of the full-back has only been reinforced by working closely with him.
