West Ham United fans on Twitter were impressed with the performance of Nick Pope despite the goalkeeper helping his Burnley side to a 1-0 win over David Moyes’ men on Wednesday night.

To the despair of the West Ham fans, Pope arguably produced his best performance of the season to dent their chances of survival.

The positive for the Hammers is that they are four points above the relegation zone, but that could be reduced to one point tonight if Aston Villa can beat Manchester United.

At this moment in time, Pope is England’s number two behind Jordan Pickford, but the Burnley man has outperformed his fellow countryman this term.

The East London faithful recognised the great display he put on in between the sticks as Moyes’ men tried to put the ball into the back of the net to no avail.

West Ham fans will feel the luck is not with them because the last thing they needed was for a keeper to put on such a great display when they are so desperate for points.
