Newcastle United fans are not at all keen on suggestions that Arsenal could sign Allan Saint-Maximin this summer.

The Northern Echo report that Arsenal are very keen on landing the Newcastle winger, after his impressive debut season in the Premier League.

Mikel Arteta is reportedly a fan of the Frenchman, who has proven to be Newcastle’s most exciting addition in many years.

And Newcastle supporters don’t believe that Arsenal will be able to prise Saint-Maximin away from Tyneside.

If Saint-Maximin was to leave Newcastle after just one year it would be a major blow to the Magpies.

The 23-year-old trickster carries so much of Newcastle’s attacking hopes, as his pace is crucial to Steve Bruce’s side on the counter attack.

Saint-Maximin has four goals and seven assists in his first season at Newcastle, which represents a more than credible return.

If he was to join Arsenal he would face some fierce competition for a place, but he would give Arteta a really destructive option to use.
