If you thought you’d exhausted all the riddles the internet has to offer, think again.
The latest riddle to preoccupy us all online is the ‘how many turtles do you see’ riddle.
So, if you’re stuck trying to figure out how many turtles you can see, we’ve broken down how the riddle works. Find out how to answer the deceptive riddle here.
Riddle: ‘How many turtles do you see?’
The ‘How many turtles do you see?’ ostensibly is not a word-based riddle. Instead, it is a deceptive picture with three rows of cartoon turtles.
Each row appears to feature just three turtles, but in fact, there are more turtle cartoons imbedded within each of the larger turtles.
This has led to many disputing the total of how many turtles are in the picture.
Answer: ‘How many turtles do you see?’
As mentioned before, the picture led many participants to dispute the number of turtles in the image. The estimates were roughly between 20 and 23.
But the trick of the ‘how many turtles do you see’ riddle is that the cartoon pictures are not turtles but tortoises.
Tortoises are land creatures and so they have legs to walk. Turtles are sea-based creatures and so they have flippers to help them swim.
