Liverpool have been heavily linked with Thiago recently, with Bayern Munich seemingly willing to sell the Spaniard.

However, it seems that Reds supporters may not get their wish, as the Times claim the transfer is not likely to happen.

And Liverpool fans have been left gutted by the latest update, as they felt the arrival of Thiago could really have improved their squad.

Liverpool have already suffered disappointment once this summer, with Timo Werner moving to Chelsea over them.

The Reds appear to only have limited funds to spend, despite their success this season.

Liverpool clearly don’t need full scale alternations to their squad, as they have been so dominant this term, but there is a feeling that they could do with an injection of quality just to keep things fresh.

Thiago certainly would have increased Klopp’s creative options in midfield, but it now is reported that the Bayern man is more likely to move elsewhere than Merseyside this summer.
