According to Forza Italian Football, Everton are lining up a bid for Bologna midfielder Mattias Svanberg but face competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal.
The one-capped Sweden international is starting to shine in Italy.
Svanberg, 21, has made 17 Serie A appearances this term after joining in 2018.

Forza Italian Football claim his displays have caught the eye of Premier League clubs.
The editorial say Bournemouth have already lodged a bid worth up to £13.5 million. However, with the Cherries struggling, relegation could scupper their chances.
Everton manager Carlo Ancelotti is said to be impressed by Svanberg, with the Toffees already contacting both the club and player ahead of an upcoming offer.
The Merseyside club have begun the Premier League restart in solid form. However, a new midfielder will surely be a top priority for Ancelotti this summer.
Tom Davies and Andre Gomes are a decent pairing, but Everton certainly miss the defensive protection they had with Idrissa Gueye prior to his Paris Saint-Germain move.
Svanberg is a combative midfielder, capable of playing in a holding role.
Everton, however, could face competition from Arsenal for his signature.
The report adds that the Gunners have also enquired about Svanberg, with manager Mikel Arteta also looking to bulk up his midfield options this summer.
Bologna aren’t exactly a powerhouse in Italy. Sitting 12th in Serie A, the club may be plotting sales already to help ease the financial burden following the global health pandemic.
