Reported West Ham United target Jose Sa says his future is undecided as he sets his focus on the rest of the season with Olympiacos, Sportime report.
The 6ft 4inch shot-stopper has been tipped with a summer exit.
According to SDNA, West Ham are keen to sign Sa this summer. He has a modest £11.5 million release clause, although the Premier League side face competition from La Liga’s Real Betis.
When asked about the speculation, Sa remained coy.
“As for the transfer scenarios, I do not have anything to comment on. Nobody knows the future. We want to finish the year and then we will see what happens,” Sa explained.
Sa has been a standout for Olympiacos this season, with the Greek club set to win another league title while dumping Arsenal out of the Europa League.
The former Portugal U23 international appears ready for a big move.
West Ham have three decent goalkeeper options in Lukasz Fabianski, Darren Randolph and former Millwall number one David Martin.
The Hammers, however, may be looking at long-term options and Sa makes sense. At 27, the Olympiacos number one has several years at the top ahead of him.
David Moyes’s side boosted their Premier League survival hopes with a victory over London rivals Chelsea in their last outing.
Another couple of wins in West Ham’s upcoming games against the likes of Burnley and Norwich City could allow the club to start planning for the summer transfer window.
