Wolverhampton Wanderers are looking to sign another Jorge Mendes client this summer with Benfica centre-back Ruben Dias in their sights, according to BleacherReport.

In an era when most clubs are being forced to keep their powder dry and their purse strings tightly drawn, Wolves look perfectly placed to take advantage.

The Black Country giants have been chipping away at the glass ceiling for a while now and, if this summer’s transfer window goes to plan, they could be about to smash through it in the months to come.

The Iberian is one of the finest young centre-halves on the globe and, crucially, knows Joao Moutinho, Diogo Jota, Rui Patricio, Joao Moutinho and co from the Portuguese national team.

And with 29-year-old Willy Boly yet to extend a contract which expires in 2021, Dias could be a readymade replacement – perhaps even an upgrade.
