Warrior Nun has arrived on Netflix and May Simón Lifschitz has audiences impressed. Let’s explore the star’s age, Instagram and previous roles.
If you’re looking for some exhilarating fantasy, you’ve found it in Warrior Nun.
Based on the comic book character Warrior Nun Areala, created by Ben Dunn, the new series chronicles the tale of a young woman who awakes in a morgue to realise that she’s now part of an ancient order tasked with saving Earth from evil demons.
It makes the most of such a wild premise across a palatable ten episodes and creator Simon Barry (Continuum) has captured the essence of the material.
Of course, a brilliant cast helps too!
May Simón Lifschitz shines in Warrior Nun
May Simón Lifschitz reprises the role of Chanel throughout the series and her performance has struck a chord with audiences.
The 25-year-old actress was born in Corrientes, Argentina and is also a model.
As highlighted by The West back in October 2019, she is the second openly transgender woman to be hired by Victoria’s Secret, preceded by Valentina Sampaio.
The campaign was considered a triumph in the realm of representation and was long overdue; we’re glad to see that May has showcased even more of her talents in Warrior Nun.
Let’s consider where we’ve seen her on screens before….
May Simón Lifschitz: Previous roles
According to IMDb, she first appeared on screens in a short called Sorte måne (she played Marina).
Fast forward to 2017 and she played Sofia in an episode of Yes No Maybe, a dating app comedy with Karoline Brygmann and Youssef Wayne Hvidtfeldt. Then, a year later she landed the part of Kimæra in the family fantasy film Wild Witch, directed by Kaspar Munk.
That same year she also played Vibeke Kruse in Christian IV, a historical drama which whisks audiences away to 1648 and centres on King Christian IV of Denmark.
This brings us up to Warrior Nun, but it’s also worth noting that she stars in a 2020 episode of Pros and Cons (Sabine) too.
Follow her on Instagram
If you’re a fan of May’s work in Warrior Nun and fancy keeping up to date, it’s worth following her on Instagram.

There are a handful of posts related to the show and in the most recent she shares a clip, writing: “Here my character Chanel is explaining Ava how you always have the power to express yourself however you wish.”
