Netflix has struck a winner and audiences are anticipating Unsolved Mysteries volume 2 already. Do we have a date for the remaining episodes?

We all love to kick back with a good cuppa and have a series to binge every now and then.

Well, during the lockdown it’s been a bit more often than every now and then actually.

From Tiger King to White Lines, Netflix has given us plenty of opportunities to lose ourselves in some fascinating box-sets. However, none have been quite so addictive as the reboot of Unsolved Mysteries.

The original was created by John Cosgrove and Terry Dunn Meurer, beginning life as a string of specials in 1987. A year later, it returned as a series, boasting an unforgettable host in Robert Stack.

Although there are some notable changes that long-term fans have highlighted, there’s no denying that the new incarnation of the series is impossible to turn away from.

Fans were pretty gutted as they went to watch episode 7. Why? Because it isn’t there.

Not to worry though….

Netflix: Unsolved Mysteries volume 2

The first season of Unsolved Mysteries hasn’t actually finished.

It consists of twelve episodes in total, with the first six episodes giving audiences a palatable taste of the show’s format.

We have the second half to go with another six episodes incoming and The Cinemaholic writes that executive producer/co-creator Terry Dunn Meurer has confirmed it.

Do we have a release date?

As of yet, there is no release date for Unsolved Mysteries volume 2.

However, Elite Daily confirms that we can expect the remaining episodes in 2020, so hopefully we don’t have to wait too long.

Little is known about which cases they’ll tackle next, but the source includes brief insight from the aforementioned co-creator, who has said it will feature two “international mysteries.” We’re sure conspiracy theorists will be racking their brains regarding what those could be, but while in conversation with the New York Post, Terry dropped a hint:

“We have a team of researchers who target different countries. In the second six episodes premiering later this year there are two episodes shot internationally … Right now we’re tracking cases in Brazil…”

We can’t wait to see what else the team have been working on.

Audiences can’t get enough of Unsolved Mysteries

It’s certainly shaping up to be quite the hit judging from general reception, with many viewers expressing how gripping they’ve found it on Twitter.
